The Aerial photographs I process with photoOverlay are thousand. I am looking forward to a slideshow tool to play my photoOverlay works. Yes, Google Earth provides a plug-in to view PhotoOverlay on browsers. By the plug-in, I released works like “Flyover Sun Moon Lake“. Recently, I occasionally find that Google provides “Entering a Photo Overlay” in low-key, which is exactly what I want. This “NASA Top 10 Photos in Google Earth” kml is a trial work.
I design a player for slideshow. You can Play(loop), next, prev, first, pause. I also BMG it. This is a prototype design. If possible, I will compose a gadget for everyone.

March is the season which Taiwan’s Indian azalea comes in full bloom. Along the sides of National Taiwan University’s most famous Royal Palm Boulevard, Indian azalea attracts numerous watchers flocking for flower viewing. NTU also holds “Azalea Festival” at the same time, which has already become a major annual event. I think that it would be a pretty good idea to take tours with Street View, but Taipei’s Google Street View is still under construction. At the fastest, the website will take several months to be established. I can’t wait until then, so I think to myself, “Why don’t I set up one?” I’ve just learned some 360 degree panoramic photography techniques recently from a fellow blogger, walker, so I decide to experiment with scenes of NTU’s Royal Palm Boulevard.

There are more than 450 urban planning areas in Taiwan. If we could apply Google Earth to every urban planning area for those who need it, this would be a very pleasant thing. I studied urban planning during college, and I became very familiar with Google Earth applications. Since I had a 2001 version of urban planning illustration handy, I took some time and energy and spent four months to complete this project. I used county and city as units, converted every urban planning shape file through coordinates and legends one by one to kml files, then I applied javascript program and browser plugin for everyone to search.

Sun Moon Lake is located in the center of Taiwan and is the island’s largest lake. It is a beautiful alpine lake, divided by the tiny Lalu Island; the eastern part of the lake is round like the sun and the western side is shaped like a crescent moon, hence the name “Sun Moon Lake”.
In my article posted in July “aeroFoto Formosa in Google Earth in a browser“, I showed Taiwanese aero photographer chi’s pictures in Google Earth Browser Plugin. In recent days, I find PhotoOverlay can be displayed by plugin as well. Therefore I give it a try with 22 Sun-moon Lake pictures.
Although Browser Plugin shows PhotoOverlay, the API functionality is not complete. For instance, “zooming bar” and “close” of controller on top right corner don’t work. Fortunatelly, I can zoom with mouse wheel. But I have to figure out another way to close photo viewer. I add a placemark file so that you can entre Snapshot View of the placemark and close photo viewer. Then you are able to fly to spots one by one with left hand side placemarks. Double click the icon on the centre of screen to entre PhotoOverlay mode. Thereafter you can zoom with your mouse wheel and fly to another aero-photo by the pervious operation.

I have an another blog which introduces how to run marathon in GE.
I was used to use GE. Since the new Google Earth browser plugin was released , I try to run it on the new interface.
Chicago Marathon is the first test. I made many placemarks by each Kilometer or turning point. In this application you can move forward manually or automatically.
Turn on the 3D Buildings layer, It’s great to run marathon between the vitural buildings in Chicago. However, streaming failed to keep pace with the speed of running a marathon. If you use automatical mode, please turn off the 3D layer.
By the way, here are some infomation about Chicago Marathon:
