I have made 3 4D-KML Collections, including 20070703 Maokung Gondola, 20070716 Maokung Itinerant bus, and 20070727 Muzha line MRT. I found there are two concerns: first, if you run three files at the same time, your system will be suffered from a heavy loading. Second, each file has its own timer, resulting in an uncoordinated performance. I keep this in my mind although 8 months passed by. Po-lin Chi (The Chinese pronunciation is the same as “Zeppelin” translated into Chinese) is a young aero-photographer. He gets into this area in 1992 and creates tons of pictures. In April, 2006, Chi builded a blog, in which he updates images every couple of days, showing the beauty of Taiwan. He also gives a short description by each article, to show his passion for this island.

Kml Collection

Although Kinmen is an island near Xiamen, Fushien, China, the island is part of Taiwan. Currently, Google Earth does not have any high-resolution satellite images or local road maps of the island.

This posting contains 72 photos that were taken from a remote control aircraft model activity. By adding time tag on ScreenOverlay, it demonstrates similar effect as in a slide show on Google Earth. Additionally, the flying F-16 model aircraft on Google Earth allows the viewer to learn about how to operate a remote control aircraft model.

Part of the Nan-sa Spratly Islands, Tai-ping Island (Itu Aba Island) is part of Taiwan’s (ROC’s) jurisdiction. This film simulates a tour departing from Ping-Tung Airport, located at the southern tip of Taiwan, for Tai-ping Island. On Google Earth window, I have added an image that is meant to capture the view as if one were an eagle in the sky. The return tour also passes by another one of the Tung-sa Atoll , also under Taiwan’s jurisdiction.

I like running marathons. My first experience was the NY marathon on Google Earth 2 years ago. Since then, I have tried to combine a series of marathons worldwide with Google Earth: including those held in Taiwan, Berlin, the Spartathlon, La Transe Gaule(18 days), Deutschlandlauf (17 days), etc.

The 7th term Legislative Election of the Republic of China was held on Jan 12, 2008. There are a total of 73 elective districts in Taiwan. I used the multigeometry for mouseover effects method in order to show you more information about the elections. If you move the cursor to the label of each elective district, it will show you the winning candidate and other information like the political party of the winning candidate and the number of votes cast.You can download this KML Collection to see the election in taiwan on Google Earth.
